I legit laughed out loud in the first couple pages and I knew, this book was for me. Think a millennial update on Bridget Jones written by one of the writers for Schitt’s Creek. This book got me out of my book slump!

I liked the premise, girl discovers herself on her own, independent of relationship, but Maggie was just a frustrating person and book felt equally chaotic and… it was just okay. 2.5/5

I have mixed feelings about this one. Maggie felt extremely annoying, but I think that was sort of the point. It was very relatable for many reasons, the friendships, the heartbreaks, the growth. I also feel it was likely a pretty accurate depiction of what divorce is like for some people. It kept me interested because & wanted to see how it turned out for Maggie in the end. But, I didn’t love it as I hoped I would

I thought this book was enjoyable enough and funny at times, but the main character was just so annoying. I know that's the point, but it was almost unbearable at times lol. Probably a good book if you're going through a breakup and want to feel better about your sadness and insane behavior.

It's actually comical how much I emotionally relate to this book.

Book is only really good actually if you’re a millennial going through divorce or okay with secondhand embarrassment

This did make me laugh a few times, but it was mainly an endlessly egocentric monologue that made me tired by the halfway mark. Predictable and occasionally really gross. I’m not sure I liked it, but I didn’t fully hate it.
