When a fox needs answers to his questions he joins the antlered ship that is looking for a crew. Will he find the answers while he goes on an adventure?

This book is really nicely illustrated and I really really love the design of the antlered ship! [There is even a part where they fight pirates by lowering the ships antlers! (hide spoiler)] This book has some nice creativity and lots of work put into it visually. I wish it was a little longer and maybe had some more story. ~Ashley

The first thing I noticed upon reading this book was the texture.  The dust cover is beautiful and textured with a paper that I've never felt before, and it just immediately tells you that you're in for a trip.  The story is so beautiful and nuanced, and the illustrations themselves are absolutely gorgeous.  This book wants for nothing, and it's so evident that the editors and designers of this book took great care in its publication.

The story is a bit too precious for me but I love the illustration style. It is quite beautiful with rich detail. I think it might not be eligible for Caldecott because the illustrators are Canadian.

Youtube-videó, igen. A történet szép. Egy róka az élet nagy kérdései közül feltesz párat társainak, de őket csak az élet prózai része érdekli. Így amikor feltűnik egy agancsos hajó a láthatáron, felcsap matróznak a többi állat közé. Megtanulja, hogy az élet néha viszontagságos, illetve hogy nemcsak a saját fajtájával barátkozhat. Nem utolsó sorban pedig azt, hogy egy kérdésre, főleg, ha filozofikus jellegű, nagyon sokféle választ lehet adni, és nincs rossz válasz.

A Fan testvérek illusztrációi pedig abszolút kedvenceimmé váltak, pedig még csak a második könyv volt, amit tőlük láttam.

The illustrations here are beautifully done. The story is quite poignant.

This is a ship of rogue animals in search of: adventure, beauty, answers. Marco, a fox, decides the answers to his questions are out in the world. He can't be confined to his island any longer, so he boards the ship.

What the animals learn are lessons in kindness, boldness and friendship.

There are questions Marco has that my daughter and I enjoyed finding the answers to while reading the book.

A cool story about a ship carrying park animals (deer, pigeons) on a journey to a mystical island with lots to eat. The fox of the story wants answers to his toddler-esque series of questions (why don't trees talk? Why is the ocean wet?) Ultimately it's about adventure and friendship.
