Meh writing, poor pacing, and weird avoidable errors that an editor should have caught (hockey has 3 periods not halves, Rorschach ink blot when meant lie detector, and washroom vs bathroom) all took me out of an okay but super flat and rushed story.

The insane hardheadedness from an otherwise well reasoned rational character was the entire driving force behind the conflict. Multiple scenarios caused by not texting or having basic communication . So obsessed with sunk cost of matchmaking made her willing to turn down major potential right in front of her face? Also she rudely tells this guy she’s sleeping with and has feelings for (but won’t admit) about her upcoming date with Mr 96%. Messed up. Wearing the ugly dress at the end was obnoxious icing on the cake.

3.7 stars. This was a cute read. It wasn’t drawn out or too complicated. If you’re looking for a quick cute romance to read this is it! I wish we got a little bit more of Anthony’s back story though. Nonetheless I’m looking forward to reading another Mimi Grace book.
