First off, they really should've put trigger warnings at the beginning of this book. This book contains a whole lot of them (and I listed them all below). I skipped ahead to this one after reading some reviews for the three between this one and Spirit Bound. I just want to get to the Torpedo Ink series with a little insight before hand.
Trigger Warnings: abuse: emotional, physical, and child; blood, gore, graphic injuries, forced miscarriage, rape, sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual violence, pedophilia, trauma, PTSD, violence, gunshots, gun violence, and physical assault

Summary

Viktor Prankenskii never planned on falling in love and even though he was on the job, undercover he fell hard for Blythe Daniels. But her step father was the man who was evil and needed to be taken down and unfortunately he had to leave before he could explain himself except for one letter that she never received. It has been five years and Viktor is coming for Blythe along with bringing the men and women whom he saved. But there is a enemy, a man who is hunting Blythe's cousin Elle and her husband Jackson. He knows he must get there first and set a trap for the one enemy he has been hunting for years. But he also has a wife, who was abandoned for five years and he must repair things with Blythe. He knows that she is exactly what he needs and what his adopted family need, but will Blythe let him into her heart again....

The Hero

Viktor Prankenskii, is the last of the brothers. He is the oldest of them, and is the one that suffered the most. He sacrificed so they could be sent to less dangerous schools. Viktor lost his parents when he was seven years old, and was torn away from his younger brothers whom he vowed to protect. He was sent to the most horrid of schools, where only eighteen survived out of a couple hundred children. Only by forging a strong bong with the other children were they able to survive. Viktor along with the others suffered unspeakable acts and have barely regained their humanity. Killing is the only thing that they know. And even though they direct it at the evil of the world, they are not easy to be around and very dangerous. Viktor is a hero that is very rough around the edges. Blythe taught him love and affection and strength. Viktor is a hero that goes after what he wants no matter the cost. Very formidable but he has vulnerabilities that win you over very quickly.

The Heroine

Blythe never knew how hard it would be to lose Viktor years ago, to feel betrayed and not knowing why he left her with no word especially after all they shared and what was worse was what she lost later that she still keeps a secret from her adopted sisters. A moment in time she wishes she could forget because of the grief it causes her. Blythe is a kind and giving woman, she likes open spaces and the peace and quiet. She not only feels betrayed by Viktor but by her family who sided with her mother instead of her. Blythe keeps to herself, she feels a strong bond with the others, but doesn't know if she can ever share her true past with them. Blythe was such a strong character and I loved her instantly. She has this quiet courage that is so admirable and I love the way she handled Viktor and his unique "family" of adopted brothers and sisters.

Plot and Story Line

Bound Together the final installment of the Sisters of the Heart sisters has come to a conclusion. And you know this one might be my favorite one, although its a hard tie with the others. But there was something so very different that I wasn't expecting at all. First off, we have a story of a second chance. Our hero has had to work undercover because he is being hunted by the same people who murdered his parents. And he refuses to put Blythe in unnecessary danger. Now its been five years, and things have changed. At first Viktor has to learn a few things, including the fact that Blythe wasn't looked after like he had planned on. And that he has an adopted family, men and women that he will protect at all costs. He knows that they need Blythe. He sees that the darkness overcomes them at time, but he also remembers his wife's goodness and kind nature. And another aspect that I never expect from Feehan is a MC club. Vicktor and his men and two women have created a club. Then on the other spectrum, Blythe is shocked to see Viktor. But she handles it with grace and even though she fears him at times, she also has no clue how she could ever fit in his world. But with typical Feehan style she just makes this story just flow just right and their story becomes one you cheer for. I couldn't put this book down, seeing which way it would turn out and if they would really destroy the villain in the end. I am intrigued by this MC club  though. I wonder if Feehan plans on doing a series based on these men and women? I definitely won't be disappointed if she does. The romance between Viktor and Blythe was poignant and emotional, their story isn't for the faint of heart. There is a moment in this story where they share and are honest with each other, and this is where their story really changes.
She was genuine. Sweet. Protective. Nurturing. Everything he'd never had and didn't know he needed or wanted. It was impossible not to love her. He hadn't known that kind of love existed. Not that fierce, driving need that was so deep, so intense, it shook him every time he looked at her. Every second in her company was sheer paradise.

The "secret" that Blythe has you know pretty early in the story and it sets the tone for the rest of it. It can be heartbreaking at times but what really moved me was the way that Viktor and Blythe lean on each other through their struggles and their triumphs. A Truly spectacular finish to a astounding series you don't want to miss out on.

The Cover

You know I really like this cover. It has a majestic feel with the way it captures the ocean here.

Bound Together is the final book in the Sea Haven series by Christine Feehan and features Blythe and Viktor. For some reason when I thought of Blythe I thought of someone more mature. No, that's not the right word, older? I'm not sure how to put it. But now that I think about it, that almost motherly personality is exactly what Viktor is counting on right from the beginning.

Viktor Prakenskii has been undercover for five years. He has put his whole life on hold for this one job. His sacrifice, and it is a sacrifice for him, he's not a work-a-holic, puts him into a position to stop one of the worst kind of predators out there. The descriptions of what Viktor and his group go through, as well as what they face on the job is pretty raw. Throughout Bound Together we are constantly brought back to just what all the players have suffered. The abuse that Viktor and Tattoo Ink go through and witness... boy, it was heartbreaking. It has however turned them all into people who do not know how to live in normal society. Viktor is holding a huge burden over Blythe with the hopes that she will help him and the club assimilate back into the world. But he has been gone for five years and has no idea what kind of reception he is going to get from his wife, let alone whether she will be willing to help them. Viktor is the big, bad violent man, but he is also still the boy that was put in that school. To me, he seemed really young, or immature? I don't know how to put it into words. You're probably thinking I'm crazy. That he was one big bad ass man. Well, yes, he was that. I think it may have been his hero worship of Blythe and all that he imagined she was going to do for them that made me feel that way.

Blythe didn't really think she was married, but had not gotten over Viktor in all those five years. When he returns and thinks that he is just going to jump into married life, well, let's just say she is not quite on board. However, there were a lot of circumstances that explained all the miscommunication. The problem is there is a HUGE event that happened after Viktor left and getting over that for the both of them is going to be hard. Her suffering really comes through, as does Viktor's when he learns of the truth.

I really wish I had of read the Drake sisters series now. They played a big part in the showdown with the enemy in Bound Together and I would have liked to know more about their stories. Especially when I found out they are related to Blythe and the role they played (or didn't play) in Blythe's growing up. The fight between the Sea Haven group against the Swords seemed overwhelming at first, and I have to say, I was really impressed with the finality of the fight. Things moved swiftly and you have to really keep track of where everyone is.

Bound Together could be a really hard book to read. There are seriously depraved situations being addressed and reading them can really turn a stomach. It really brings home that things like this happen in the world. It can really sicken a person. The love that comes through and how everyone comes together at the end gives hope for everyone and that brought a smile to my face.

Bound Together took me through a lot of emotions that made me feel for Blythe and Viktor. I did feel like all of the aspects of the book, killing Ethan, Blythe and Viktor's relationship, and establishing the characters of Viktor's crew were nicely balanced. We went for an emotional ride, but I left the book feeling satisfied and with swell in my heart. This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

I was definitely not on board with Viktor when this book started - women asking men to leave their home and being ignored is one of my pressure points. A weird thing started happening about half way through...I really started to get into Viktor and Blythe.

A good end to a series I really liked if not loved like the Drake Sisters one. Blythe's story and connection with the Drakes was moving and exactly what I wanted.

I am so onboard too for the Torpedo Ink series. Hopefully, with cameos from all of Sea Haven. I'm a bit surprised that Reaper is first up, but maybe that makes sense with him being most wounded.

What a great wrap-up to the sisters of the heart series. It was amazing bringing together three powerhouse groups.

I love that we got to see the Drake sisters back in action, working hand-in-hand with the elements. Throw in Torpedo Ink's talents with Blythe to bring them all together. Wow!! I just wish the action part of the book was more ... it felt a bit rushed towards the end. Elle is just plain awesome! It makes me want to read her book again ... soon!

It's going to be interesting watching the gang try to settle into a normal routine. Looking forward to seeing where these new characters go from here.

A sexy and suspenseful (if somewhat rushed) resolution to the Drake Sisters and Sea Haven series'. It's also a great lead into the Torpedo Ink series.
She writes characters that the reader cares about.
These characters show love and loyalty to each other, and others they come into contact with, though they've all had high levels of trauma they've experienced in their lives.
The sex scenes get more risque as the series went on, which makes the content of the Torpedo Ink series make sense now too.
