This was such a good book and had such a cute ending it took a few chapters to start up but all in all 5/5 stars.

I enjoyed the character of Maggie, but struggled to connect with Freddy and their connection. For most of the book I thought Freddy was a ghost!

This is as much a history lesson about the Tower of London as it is a romance. It starts well, then there's a whole distraction with five dates that I could completely have done without (the romantic interest completely disappears, which was really unsatisfying) but it romps it home in the back half.
This was enjoyable. Definitely give it a shot if you like the genre, or if you love history, London, London history, royalty, the military, men in uniforms, a relatable working class female leads who suffer from imposter syndrome, feel put upon, and finally fight back and find themselves.

It's very cute and sweet, you just have to pretend to forget that the British Empire is terrible and the aristocracy is cursed. Freddie is adorable and Maggie is relatable and the lads are hilarious.
