Right, well I didn't expect to like this as much as I did but I literally flew through this book and I was obsessed with it.

- The ANGST had me screaming
- The slow burn of their romance was honestly the most painful and beautiful thing ever
- I really liked the plot and thought Keri took time to plot out what she wanted to happen and I could see the details in the flashbacks and how they led to the present story. It was well done!
- I also really liked the ending and felt satisfied with what happened. I could really see both characters develop throughout this book.
- This was also smutty as hell and I loved it.

Please just read this book!

This book was…a lot. It was dark and sad, but also spicy, intriguing, and impossible to put down.

I don't even know what to say. What the fuck did I read? This was supposed to be a romance novel? I'm all about a dark romance, but I am not for the amount of pedophilia and infant death that occurred in this book. Especially to the length these scenes were detailed at. The story was insane. And literally the kind of insane where it felt like the author went our of their way to find the most fucked up plot twist possible. Felt very shock value. I wouldn't recommend this book and it deserves a hard pass.

Weird book. Dark and full of evil hearted people and machinations and flashbacks and twists. Not usually my kind of book- I finished it but ... not happily.

So Good!

If you love a good dark book, this is the one for you!
Make sure to read trigger warnings.
It’s spicy, it’s dark, the plot keeps you on your toes!
I loved it! I love the dark, dangerous, damaged Lucian, and beautiful, stubborn, smartass Isa.
Highly recommend.

Where has this book been all my life ?
This book didn’t disappoint one bit. Each chapter, full of riddles and mystery kept me on my toes till the very until each unanswered question I had was fulfilled.

The plot was written perfectly and the set up of where this story took place was  mapped out beautifully. I could close my eyes and envision the dark gothic mansion built on bones overlooking mystic waters.

Isadoras personality surprised me the most, at first I pictured her as a delicate, pleasant girl who had a hidden spark within her waiting to be ignited. But as I read on there we’re hidden qualities that were exposed throughout, showing she held passion for a lot of things as well as heroism and bravery.

Lucians entire being is enigmatic, he is the absolute embodiment of morally grey with devilish tendencies and the ultimate Alpha-hero personality.
And though both main characters come with heart shattering stories, Lucians character growth contented me the most because he overcome so much darkness.

I adored Isa’s and Lucians chemistry so much, the angst, the spice, their connection above all else was Urghh magical. Their relationship is binding and through all their tragedy, the darkness, they’re a devastating combination that shouldn’t work, but Jesus.. they do.

This story it may not be for everyone, there is a lot to unravel and an assortment of physiological, unsettling factors to consider before diving in so as always check the triggers 🤞🏻

Plot/storyline was great! Grammar, sentence structure and punctuation could use some improvement. Overall a great and enjoyable read.

Beauty and the beast retelling with a beautiful heroine , innocent and naive in my opinion and a wounded hero in so many ways, not only on the outside.
The castle holds many secrets and it’s magical smell will keep you wanting to read more about its hidden passages .
I enjoyed it overall but it had a few moments where I felt like skipping as it was pretty predictable for me.
