Another enjoyable book in the series. There were so many spots where I was sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails. Sometimes I couldn't read fast enough! The cliffhanger is really gonna get me while I wait for my turn to read the next book.

There were so many new characters that I absolutely loved. I hope I get the chance to see them again later in the series. It was neat to see the references back to the little novellas that accompany the series. I'm excited to see if the characters will play a major role in the future.

Read at your own risk!!

Wow!!! What an crazy, twisting ride this was!!!!  I absolutely loved this one! I felt like it started out slow and to be honest, I did NOT like Rowan in the beginning. The witch story seemed to start out a little slow, but I knew the details were building up to something good! I'm also blown away about the towers and their connection and how it ties in to magic disappearing! And when Dorian revealed his magic to the king, I nearly threw the book because I thought for sure the King was going to kill him!!! I cried over Sorscha's death!! Like why...šŸ˜ŖšŸ¤§šŸ˜ I was loving the whole forbidden love side story. And of course she died... Oh man, when I say I was a mess...šŸ˜šŸ˜ŖšŸ¤§ I felt like she was a good healer, not only for his body but also good for helping him heal his soul after all he's been dealing with!!!šŸ˜ Loved almost learning more about Celaena's background and family... I was hit with all the feelings... And to watch her start to slowly accept her true self and to become bolder, oh MAN! Emrys and Luca were also fantastic characters! I enjoyed the history and enjoyed even more watching Celaena bravely face her crazy, psychopath Aunt! And what she did for Rowan and how they bonded slowly over time was enjoyable. It was comical how they went from hating each other to slowly bonding and growing closer!! At first, it seemed like he was inclined to hate her and not help her in the slightest! But they both change and evolve so much! Given that they've both been through hell, they complement each other and help each other grow very well.
Such a fantastic read!!

this book was INSANE to say the least!!!!!!!! they say the last 100 pages of any sjm book are gonna be crazy, but the last 20 pages?!?!?!
sorscha!!!! and dorianā€™s wyrdstone collar from the king!!!!! and chaol fleeing the castle!!!!!!
this was such a fantastic journey, i loved seeing celeana grow into her abilities, and to see her and rowanā€™s relationship grow and soften into such dedication to each other; i was so happy when he immediately
got out of his blood oath with maeve just to make a new one with celeana right in front of her LOL
!!!! my only gripe is that they had so many scenes together where celeana was like damn heā€™s got muscles i lowkey wanna hit that to distract myself from chaolā€¦ā€¦.then she was like ā€œletā€™s go see our aunt šŸ¤“ā˜šŸ»ā€ before they met with maeve in doranelle and i was like OUR auntā€¦ā€¦babygirlā€¦ā€¦..!!!!!!! i really like them as close friends and iā€™m scared sjm is setting up a romance between the two of them, and while i love their banter and friendship i cannot ignore that they are (albeit distantly) related. other than that i literally could not put this book down and bought queen of shadows before i even finished it so i can continue with my throne of glass read right away, then onto the tandem read!!! this was such a five star read for me, the last 20 pages really sealed the deal, even if i had to take some breaks in the last 100 pages (watching the presidential debate, petting my cats, drinking a half gallon of mango green tea, you know the vibes).

Ok heir of fire was good but the bit at the end where Selena finally frees Rowan from his blood oath and heā€™s like THANK YOU I MUST SWEAR TO YOU A BLOOD OATH Iā€™m like dude did you not learn your lesson with the last one?? And his reasoning that Maeve could come for Selena any time after she leavesā€¦like ok do you know you can actually defend and protect someone who youā€™re not enslaved to? Just by choice and free will? My dudeā€¦

Wow this book in the series was incredible. What a journey, and such revelations. What an empowering story it is to watch Celaena become Aelin, own her identity, her past, her truth, what she must do. And Rowan was a character I desperately needed in this series. I had many heartbreaks at the end of the book, many reveals that had me enraged. I literally shook with anger lol, I feel like a book deserves 5 stars if you pull genuine emotion from me (considering I have an impenetrable mask while reading lol I do not get emotional visibly easily)

Another great addition to the series. Had me crying a couple of times and I just couldn't wait to read more of it.
