I read this a few years back, and I still remember the jaw-dropping twist by the end!

When I read a book from Lisa Gardner I know I am going to get a great story, my mind will be constantly trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This book kept me on my toes and it was a tale of an imperfect family, and the tales that come out when the family is kidnapped one Friday evening. A powerful construction mogul, his wife and 15 year old daughter all gone, and their secrets unravel. The private investigator, the sheriff's office in New Hampshire and the FBI agent work begrudgingly together to solve their disappearance. Action packed and fast moving I couldn't put this one down!

Good story. Some fluff but good.

Started after finishing the 2-1-Deal of Harlan Coben: "Tell No One/Gone For Godd", April 6th, 2013.
Lisa Gardner being one of my favorite authors, I was not disappointed.
Good to know what happened to Tessa from "Love you more".
Although I guessed the identity of the mastermind of the kidnapping early on, enough twists and red herrings to keep me satisfied.
Highly recommended. My only regret is the time it will take till the next book arrives from Lisa Gardner, be it in this series or one of the other (Warren, Quincy).

Writing: meh for Lisa Gardner | Plot: cool but weighed down by meh storytelling/writing | Ending: LE DUH

Phat ass trigger warning: miscarriage, drug abuse

SYNOPSIS

The Denbes have it all... or do they? Tessa Leoni is hired to investigate the disappearance of this seemingly perfect Boston family.

MY OPINION

Yep. That's three Lisa Gardner's in a row. Me thinks I need to read a different author now
