I honestly found this painful to get through, it just dragged on!
I actually liked some of the things the book was trying to say, but I didn’t enjoy the way it was done - personally I think it should have been a lot more subtle.
And I think Nick’s character took a big step back in this book. In the two first books he was one of the only normal/rational/down to earth people, but his obsession with
keeping the house,
while I understand it was sentimental, and it was described as this heroic act? To me it just showed that he can be just as bad as everyone else… It is completely NORMAL
to sell a house after someone dies if you don’t have the means to keep it!

Anyways I actually really liked the epilogue, I think it was a nice ending with a good outcome for everyone:)

Where back in Asia with the Young family.  Uma is on her death bed and the family has come together to say their goodbyes. When Nick shows up to make amends the family gets in an uproar. I love all the family drama. This was well written.  I loved the writing style and the way the characters developed. I will miss this series!

of the trilogy, i don't think it's the strongest book
it's fun to see more development of characters in the giant family tho

I was so close to dnfing bc the some of the side stories were so boring and dragged for way to long. I liked how it ended overall but I don’t think I would pick this series up again.

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Crazy Rich Asians series. It was a lot of fun, with far more serious elements tied in compared to the prior books, which made all of the drama feel a little more "real". The pacing felt a little off at times, but for what the trilogy was meant to be — mainly ridiculous and over the top — Kwan delivered!
