Surprisingly underwhelmed on this one. Given all the build-up to the Nick storyline, it didn't really deliver in the way I expected. There really wasn't much depth to present day Nick other than a prolonged state of repentance which honestly made me feel like I was being punished. The plot twist was intriguing for all of 5 mins because again, a lot of Nick buildup for a twist that was just random as hell. Just UGH. Charlotte: cute, quirky. That's it. The house subplot. Not even sure why that was necessary tbh. Gotta say, the best thing about the whole book was Lexi.

I remember the previous two books being funny, and, needing something similar, I picked up this one....but it was kind of boring for me. So apparently I am not in the right mood for this story.

I really enjoyed Dr. Neuro! We know some about Nick because of previous books, but not much about him. I really enjoyed him and how unique he was. He works like nuts and has his daughter and not much time for anything else. Charlotte forces her way into his life. I love how fun their relationship is and how they grow. I really enjoyed it!

Method: audiobook

Rating: 4/5 stars

H rating: 4/5 - Nick. I really liked you, which is surprising cause I wasn't sure that I would when I first met you in the previous series.

h rating: 4/5 - Charlotte. I loved how self assured you were, that was amazing!

Drama: 3/5 - The same drama from the show and some interesting twist with her ex.

Thoughts: Absolutely love this series! So happy with the ending to this one. I also love how I got more of the amazing kiddo. Very curious about Winnie's brother...

Dr. Neuro is book three in the St. Luke's Docuseries, a standalone if you haven't read the first two and an opposites attract rom-com. This one was hilarious and sexy and sweet and steamy. There's not a bunch of heavy drama, it's more of a lighter read but Max Monroe did an awesome job of creating lively, animated characters and a smart, fun plot. In the very beginning, I wasn't too sure if I'd like Nick. He seemed selfish and arrogant but I was so completely wrong! Wow, he was so loveable, sweet, compassionate and a great dad to the adorable Lexi. Charlotte was Nick's opposite, she was loud and a little wild, fun loving and straightforward. The story has sexy scenes that'll make your heart pound, funny scenes that'll make you laugh out loud (literally!) and even a little bit of drama that'll make you shed a tear or two (if you're as big a sap as me!). This one's a new addition to my READ AGAIN E-SHELF! Told from dual POVs with a super happy ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

5 "I think I have it bad for the brain surgeon" stars!

Honestly I've been waiting for Nick Raines story since I read Scoring the Billionaire (Remy's too, COUGH.. HINT... COUGH.. all Winnie's brothers. COUGH... HINT. Hmm, must be something in the air.) Anywho. Like I was saying I've been waiting for this book, and guess what... Max Monroe gave me every single thing that I wanted and needed with Nick's story.

Nick is FINALLY in a good place with being the father he wants to be. He's FINALLY in a sort of comfortable place with his ex and her new husband. He's working as a neurosurgeon at a great New York hospital, close to his daughter, and he's doing what he worked so hard for years for. Life is just good. So why not throw a burst of light and laughter in to mix things up?

Charlotte has lived the life that she has wanted so far. She's a headhunter for CMI. Recruiting some of the best in business and even the medical field. Yes she may have hurt some people along the way, but she's happy with her job. Happy with her life, and finally being back in New York City after years of traveling all over. What more could a girl ask for? Well, she asks for nothing and she gets everything in Nick Raines.

I don't really want to say much more, because going into this story without know what would happen was pretty fun. I like that although Nick is connected to characters that may be familiar if your a Max Monroe reader, you're getting his story. You get both characters POV's, and it makes it easy to fall for them both. The love story in this one is so easy and so fun. I really enjoyed how real these two feel. I love that they are in this place in life where they aren't really looking for each other, but they find each other anyway. Ugh. I can't gush more about these two, because I truly enjoyed their story. It was hot, unexpected, steamy, romantic, sweet, fun, and even a little sad at some points.

If you enjoy contemporary romance I'd absolutely give Dr. NEURO a shot. It is part of the St. Luke's docuseries, but can absolutely be read as a standalone IMO.

I enjoyed the story but I found it to be jumbled and somewhat scatter brained in the delivery for the majority of the story. I didn't feel connected to either Charlotte or Nick to fully invest in the story.

This book was read for romanceopolyathon - red on the cover & abs on the cover.

This specific video review will be included in the April 2019 wrap-up.

4.5 trivia night stars

I'm sad to see this series end! They each were funny, sweet, witty and sexy. This final book in the series did not disappoint.

Nick has come back to New York to start a relationship with his HF Autistic daughter, Lexi, who steals all of the scenes that she is in. :) In steps headhunter, Charlotte, and flips his life upside down. Charlottes quirky, spontaneous personality is hard to resist.

SpoilerOn the first day that they meet, Charlotte drags Nick to trivia night at a bar across town. They hit it off right away and the sparks fly not soon after. Once a secret is revealed that could ruin Nicks future with his daughter and her mother, they both decide to end their relationship. Let me tell you, my heart literally ached during those chapters.
Spoiler

Max Monroe have written another great book, I will definitely be reading more of their books!
