Another great read from Lydia Michaels. You must come and meet Tyson!! I love this character. This is the story of a single mom named Kat who falls for her new new neighbor Tyson. Not that easy, I tell you. Nothing has been easy for Kat, and she doesn't allow love with Tyson to be easy. That is until Tyson helps her see things differently. This is a great story about love, friendship and family.

Don't mind me, just over hear devouring all of Lydia Michaels's books.

I don't know what took me so long, to be honest. I read her McCullough Mountain series ages ago, when they were called by their old titles.

I love Lydia Michaels's character development - she spends enough time introducing us to her characters so that we as readers get involved with them. I love that she rights in third person omniscient and I can get in the heads of both main characters. And holy steamy, batman. Ty and Kat were amazing.

The only thing I didn't care for about this book was the Gilmore Girls feel of Kat and her mom and the young pregnancy component. It felt borrowed a bit - but Michaels did a lovely job of switching it up just enough that I was able to let that go.

It's been a while since I've read a book that really pulled me in and I felt sad to say goodbye to the characters at the end. It's also been a while since I've read a book that gave ME butterflies when the characters did cute things. All. The. Butterflies.

Off to voraciously read the rest of the New Castle series!
