This is probably my favorite of the 3 Mindy McGinnis books I've read so far. It was so raw and sad and Mickey was terrible and wonderful. She is so good at making you look right at something and accept it for what it is. And Brittany Pressley brings her stories to life perfectly.

reading a character driven book is tricky because you will lost interest if you feel detached to the characters, and unfortunately, i felt detached with mickey.

first of all, i see why people rated this high. it has an interesting and a reflective insight on different themes like drug addiction— and no doubt, very heartbreaking.

for me, the usage of drugs were too much to the point that it got repetitive and annoying, taking me so long to get over this book.

the book itself was underwhelming for me, but if you like reading depressing books with complex characters and no plot, i would recommend this book.
