I really enjoyed the last 20% of this book, but the road to those 20% was a slow one. Maybe it’s because of my personal preference of having a lot of people portraits and environment descriptions which this book didn’t have a lot of. I never really felt like I knew who I was reading about, or what the scenes around the characters looked like, which made it difficult for me to connect to them and their story. I did also have quite high expectations, so maybe that also affected me feeling a bit “meh”. 

An ok read!
