students in soundview are disappearing without a trace. the link? they're all popular. madison knows that the mysterious new student, tyler, knows something...but can she find out what it is before it's too late??

one of the more gripping teen thrillers i've read. i'm deducting a star because strasser works facebook into the plot without knowing how it works (you can't be anonymous, you have to have a first name and a last name, not stuff like PBleeker or iamnemesis, and there are no chat rooms).
BUT this is an ARC so maybe that stuff will have gotten fixed. still, i'll definitely be buying this for the collection come october.

The beginning was great, and also the ending was awesome. But sadly the middle part was just boring for most of the time. The book was also confusing, in the beginning I didn't know who was who and who was talking. But that got a bit better, but still it is something that I would give -1 star.

Despite the short number of pages this book was a long and heavy read. There were moments where I could tell the author was writing (like when you can see an actor acting?) but then I would get back into it. I am glad that this is one of the books I started 2016 off with.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It was a good thriller in the sense I didn't know who was the kidnapper, but a few things bothered me. The main character was really naive, a bit careless (she ALWAYS thought about Tyler and it got annoying real quick), and just really plain to me. I don't know. I didn't connect with any of them. Fast read and pleasing, I suppose.

I really liked the suspense in this book. The way the characters are described are quite amazing, and the dialogue too. I guess the ending was what made it the best, just because it was a shocker, I liked the unhappy ending or cruel ending showing us how our world really is. Only thing I wasn't quite comfortable was with the way someone was stalking a girl and did everything she asked for, that was creepy but necessary for this wonderful story.

I was in a mood for a teen mystery, thanks to watching Pretty Little Liars again on Netflix.

Wish You Were Dead caught my eye and I got sucked in really quickly. It's a fast read thanks to the blog posts and comments, but it still manages to have a firm grip of the reader.

Gulped it in a few sittings. And didn't figure out the villain before it was actually revealed. Loved how the story kept its grip all the way through.

Though I wish I'd learned a little bit more about the villain, it seemed like an interesting story in itself. Unfortunately not much was revealed about the villain and their backstory.

This was a fantastic book. I started it about 1:00 a.m. and stayed up until I finished it. It's part of a trilogy. I've started the second book but so far I'm not sure how the trilogy part fits other than it's the same town.I haven't run into any characters from the first book. But that's okay because Strasser's writing is beyond fantastic!

I absolutely loved this thriller. The topic of mobbing is an important one. Blogging is also a big thing these days, so combining the too seems like a good idea. Mixing it in with quite some suspense made this book "unputdownable" for me. (New word I learned today from the publishers :P).

I really enjoyed reading this, and I didn't guess what was really up till the very moment my chin dropped to the ground. And that is a great thing to happen in ya crime these days ;)

Yoooo... Such a great book. I don't even think that I could forget it if I tried. Has an extremely interesting plot, one I don't think I've read anywhere else. People start going missing after appearing on a blog... that would creep me the heck out.

If I had read this back when I was a teen, I probably would give it 4 stars.

It’s all the safe, thriller moments that are great for YA - reminiscent of Lois Duncan, Christopher Pike, and RL Stine, just updated to reference blogs, IMs, and texting.
