Very cute. Very creepy. I was a bit confused by the "why" and the "how" but a cute hedgehog will go a long way for me apparently

Entertaining read

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this book, but the story was compelling enough that I kept wanting to know what would happen next.

I love T. Kingfisher's books and have read several of her newer ones. This one is older and you can tell she was a less experienced writer. It's a little clunky and meandering, but it was still fun to read. Nice little fairy tale flavor.

Mr. Fox by Joseph Jacobs retelling.

This was my first T. Kingfisher, and it won't be my last! Simultaneously funny, and sinister. Reminded me a bit of Dark Henson and Uprooted.

Just a really fun story, and I recommend the audio.

The worlds T Kingfisher creates and the way her stories interact with those world will always have me coming back for more. Her stories are consistently different but at the same time I always get sense of feeling at home with her writing style.
