I love collabs when it comes to books. I love Leah Johnson, Julie Murphy and Marissa Meyer. I'm also love discovering new authors. These little stories were so cute.
These stories are all over the world though from the jargon and things, it seems like it’s based in America. These stories are inspired by different romantic tropes. Enemies-to-lovers. The fake relationship. The matchmaker. From stories of first love, unrequited love, love that can surprise you, love that’s been there all along. These are 10 young adult stories all about the different types of love you see every day.
I enjoyed these short stories and I love when authors collab. I like reading different writing styles from the different authors. They all put their own style on their part. I love that we got different representation through this book and that we got LGBT+ storylines.
There were some of these books I would have loved a full story with background and conflict and drama, then there were other stories that I had to power through to finish and felt like we had already heard it through the other books especially the books towards the end. I got to maybe 65% of this book and was bored. I don’t know if it was the first half of the book that felt like a mission to finish or the second half of the book that felt impossible to finish.
With other short stories and collabs in the past, they are all usually in one place or surrounded by one school. None of these stories were, and I would have liked some big event for it to be linked to like Prom or Homecoming or something like that. It was just a little bit all over the place.
