Oh Marina knows how to tag and twist my heart strings. There's no way characters like Roman, with that kind of traumatic past and experiences will ever fail to stir up all kinds of feelings, emotions and empathy from me. So much so that it was a tad difficult to like Tyler for half the book.
After things got untangle from Tyler's side though, it was amazing to see Roman's journey towards recovery, Tyler's stalwartness in preparing the coven on how to handle traumatized Doms or subs, because they weren't ready at all, but also towards Roman too. But his vulnerability too when emotions started getting deeper and insecurities rode up. Marina instead of turning into miscommunication she chose her characters to be masters of their fate and actions and had them speak their minds and eventually hearts.
Marina also weaved, together with Roman's past, present and his future with the coven and Tyler, and quite masterfully too, a world filled with magic and D/s dynamics that I'm eager to get more of!

So if you’ve ever picked up a fanfic with a similar premise this book is exactly what you’d expect. Just a nice fluffy h/c read that goes down easy
