I loved this book. 5 stars! Favorite out of the series.

So I think this book was very funny,  but it did have its moments. I love how we get to see the main character grow, especially with the love interest. There are many great side characters we've gotten known throughout the series. The author does a great job at certain hard situations that have to be faced too, for example when someone will fall in battle.

I thought this was super iconic. A got a little emotional a few times. This book is medium to fast paced, and it's even got a map.

Can I just say, Nico Di Angelo? Yes? Do we all agree? Give the guy a break. Love him.

If you're thinking of reading this series, definitely give it a shot. Big chance you're gonna love it.

I only intended to read the first book before December, when the new series is out. However, loved the series so much that I binged through the first 5 books, to read everything else that Rick Riordan has written.

As someone who is Dyslexic and Autistic, I identify with a lot of the characters and I would always recommend reading the series.

Loved the fast paced action. I appreciate how quickly the author got to the 'main event' but I did think he overstated certain points (the endlessly repeated "there's a spy at camp" comes to mind).
I found the Annabeth-Percy love story a bit tedious and unnecessary especially with the Rachel and Luke jealousy elements. I did appreciate that the author didn't shy away from killing characters, it made the stakes feel real.
While the action was fun I thought this book didn't have the same narrative feel as the others but I suppose this was meant to be the main climax. Overall an exciting conclusion to a quick, high action series.

this was a good read, albeit i did find the amount of time spent on the main battle to be a bit much. it felt repetitive since there was a lot of back and forth where it was a lot of fighting with Percy being the main focus of it all and not a whole lot else. i think having more build up for a final battle would have been better, rather than have ~50% of the book be battle scenes.

i liked that the ending tied together everything and even left a bit there for potential continuity in a later book.

overall enjoyable ending to a beloved childhood series.

As this book was supposed to be when the great prophecy happens, it'll take you on the greatest, most intense battle of all the books in the series. Honestly, the first few chapters of the book were boring for me, and then too much is happening in the middle, until the mystery started to unravel, and the battle started getting intense. It was so thrilling!

As always, the world-building was on top, as the Greek mythology collided perfectly with the modern world. The characters were diverse, yet there's no waste of it, even the supporting characters play significant roles. I think this book picks up heavily on the themes of family and friendship, and it successfully delivered the message.

The writing style was actually good, just not my cup of tea. Someone said that Harry Potter is written in millennial and Percy Jackson more like Gen Z, and I like Harry Potter's writing style more, even though both are good.

Some things may have changed from the original Greek mythology to fit the storyline, but it was evident that Rick Riordan did an excellent job researching the history. This may not be my favorite book of the series, but I still think "The Last Olympian" is worth reading.
