Cute art. But... as often happens when food is anthropomorphized, it raises uncomfortable existential questions. Also, scraping mold off of food does not make it okay to eat- mycotoxins and whatnot. Kinda gross, really. Sorry- guess I'm not the target demographic.

I continue to be amazed by Mr. Funk's ability to write rhyming lines that are catching, rhythmic and clever. A wonderful sequel.

Josh Funk is one of my favorite picture book writers! I wish I had his books as a kid, although I still enjoy them greatly as an adult! His books are smart, creative & full of wit! Students (and adults) will love try to solve the case of the Stinky Stench. As a language arts teacher, I particularly loved the punny line, "It seemed the red herring was just a bad clue. Dejected, the three didn't know what to do." If you loved Lady Pancakes & Sir French Toast this book is a much needed companion!

I love these books so much. One of my favorite story time themes is Food and I can't wait to add this one in. So much fun. Great pairing with Dan Krall's [b:The Great Lollipop Caper|13260509|The Great Lollipop Caper|Dan Krall|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1376784472s/13260509.jpg|18462014]
