Though many of these projects are very adorable (I completed the bunny finger-puppet without much difficulty and hope to make a set in different colors for library programs) I found several of the patterns to be not the most user-friendly. Firstly, I would appreciate being told the weight of the yarn explicitly, as I'm not going to go out and buy a whole skein of the specific yarn listed in order to do a project which is pretty much designed to use up extra bits of yarn.

I wouldn't consider myself an amateur knitter; I've been knitting for several years and I'm always interested in learning new techniques. I found some of the instructions and abbreviations were not very well explained. For example, the pattern for the felted sheep magnet includes the instruction knit one, loop one, and I had to consult the great resource Youtube to determine precisely what that entailed. Though some of the instructions are explained at the back of the book, it would be nice to have an annotation as to on what page.

As for the coin purse pattern, I started it and scrapped it about four times. I found the "place eyelets" line very confusing, and there simply weren't enough stitches on my needle to repeat [K2TOG K3 YO] 3 times, and then K2TOG K1 more. Can anyone help me decipher this? Because the projects are extremely cute; but I've become so frustrated with them. And as far as I could tell the author provided no extra resources for more help.

Overall, I think that for the beginners and those who are interested in a quick knit, the book is just not well-laid out.
