Sometimes it’s hard to describe a book without defaulting to “it’s just cool”. The characters look cool, like the best punk rock Vertigo chaps in relative detail. The colors are cool, freeform and expressionistic, floating loosely and serving a vibe. Every minor character, from the one-offs each episode to the recurring vampires, are cool, all feeling lived in and sketched with a bold marker. This book is cool

Usually I get annoyed by a side story. But this is one I'm more intrigued by than the main line.  Interested to see where this goes.

One thing that sticks out in this comic is the art style. It is incredible, mesmerizing, almost blinding. It has vibrant colors, sharp lines, and reminds me of pop art.
This is a vampire story. In the world of the comic there are 2 types of vampires, those who are born and those who are made. The story revolves around a vampire called Atticus Sloane, who is a member of the First Borns. He turns humans into vampires called sips for the right price. But everything changes when he gets an ultimatum from the council of First borns: kill every single sip he made or get killed.
Since this is only the first part, the story merely scratches the main premise. I think it was pretty cool. It kept me engaged. I'd love to continue with the series. I did find the story a bit confusing in the beginning because we are plunged into it with very little explanation but you can easily get into it. There is a lot of violence and cursing, which may not be everyone's cup of tea
