Book review:
A Flower with Thorns by Zara Mumtaz (gifted)

“We were only a momentary intersection, caught up in a fantasy, our paths perpendicular, destined to live our ever afters apart”-Zara

I love a good poetry book to bring me back to earth. This was a great read with so many of them being relatable.

I would have loved to have the hard copy to just be able to flip back and fourth and mark all the relatable ones as poetry reads seem to be the only books I’ll happily tag.

“I prayed for you before I ever met you. That’s how deep my love runs for you”-Zara

I’m not going to rate Zara’s work as how can you put a rating on something so raw and vulnerable?
Please do yourself a favour and put this on your TBR!

Big thanks to Zara for gifting me a copy, can’t wait for the next one

This is a book filled with poems illustrating mental health, hurt, growth, hope, and power. It’s about strength and loving yourself. It’s about believing in yourself. And it’s something I needed to read, and that I am really happy that I did. The writing is nothing short of beautiful, and you can tell the emotions that helped create each one. If you need something inspiring or to lift you up, this is for you.
