Tijan, I don't know how you do it but you do. I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF THIS BOOK!! We got more of Carter's POV and man I loved it. Emma is just an amazing female lead. She is not this wimpy person who cries for no good reason. She is the perfect match for Carter, she wants to fight beside him. Carter is just lethal and sexy all in one package. My only compliant is that I wanted more from the epilogue. I wanted to see them 5 years or so down the line. So I'm hoping a novella is in the works (happy dance).

Tijan is seriously one of my go to authors. I have 3 authors in total that never disappoints me and Tijan is one of them. Her writing style is so unique and her characters actually fight for each other and the obstacles together, not break up for dumb reasons to get back together a week later. Thank you Tijan for once again being an awesome author.

This is the third book I have read by Tijan and I plan on reading all of them. They are addicting. She's an incredible writer and I just cannot get enough!

Couldn't put this down much to the misfortune of my traveling companion while on vacation. If you loved the first Carter Reed, you will love this one. I take this books with a grain of salt and am just looking for enjoyment on my downtime. Who doesn't love a hero that will do anything for the woman he loves?!

The perfect continuation of Carter and Emma. So much chaos and disloyalty and drama!
I wanted nothing more than Carter and E to find their HEA and get out of the hostile lifestyle they found themselves never being able to escape no matter how many times Carter thought he was "out". I loved how the story came full circle and ended with the sweetest wrap up.

Love the action and deception in this book. I definitely prefer the Cole book than the two carter reed books but I did enjoy seeing how strong Emma grew in this novel.
