I've been putting off reading this because I was scared I wouldn't like it as much as I ADORE the show, but omg it was everything I wanted and more šŸ„¹šŸ˜ I love Nick and Charlie so much I want to vomit lol they're so cute. I was surprised how faithful the show is to this book! Which helped love it, but I also just loved the style of the drawings and writing and just the šŸ’• heart šŸ’• that comes through it so strongly. I absolutely think this series is going to become a comfort read for me.

A cute and queer light-hearted story. I enjoyed it, sometimes it's nice to shut your brain off.
I'll read anything that Alice Oseman creates, and I will now binge the rest of the volumes. (Shout out to Libby!)

Reading this was like scrubbing all the negativity out of the folds in my brain with cotton candy. Itā€™s light and sweet and lovely.

i decided to reread this because, honestly, i was in a terrible reading slump and i felt like i needed to find something i could read in one sitting. plus, since its pride month and the second season of the show is being released in a few months, heartstopper felt like the perfect choice.

im not the target audience for this series so i can't relate to all of nick and charlie's experiences. however, im still glad this story exists because it's just what some queer teens might need. also, since this is a graphic novel i really did not mind the "no plot just vibes", which i usually struggle to read.Ā

and ofc, alice's artstyle is so pretty. i just love it so much. i think i am going to keep rereading their other volumes and i really hope it helps me get over my reading slump, lmao.
