This one's emotionally rough, though weirdly (by my personal meter), less dark than the previous book. The love triangle silliness begins to get sorted out, we get to see more of the Fae side of this world... and the ending is brutal in a way that lets us get to see the best side of certain characters as they respond to it.

Quite possibly my favorite of the series (so far), this time the mystery is a regular whodunnit. Though perhaps not as heart-pumping as the previous stories, there are still unexpected twists and turns and a climactic ending that will have your hands suffering from friction burns as you rush to turn the page.
