Moderate: Death, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Violence, and Gaslighting
Trigger warning: the last 25% of the book revolves around Mercy being sexual assaulted under the influence of fae magic, which also causes her to gaslight herself into contemplating suicide because of how the men in her life will react to her being assaulted. This was extremely triggering and reinforcing of unhealthy beliefs (even though a minor character stepped in to monologue about why this was happening to Mercy). In my opinion, this sobering topic was not handled in a sensitive manner.mybookishdelights's review

[Third Read - 2022 - 4.5 stars]
Heat Level: Mediumsome kissing, implied sex scene
This one is still painful. In fact I put off reading the end for about a week. I still love the characters and while this plot is interesting and progresses the overarching plot, it is unfortunately overshadowed by the events for me personally. I still ended up bumping it up half a star though.

[Second Read - 2019 - 4 stars]
This one hurts a bit when I read it with the events that happen toward the end. I do love the support that Mercy gets from multiple sources around her though. She feels alone, but realizes she's far from it. Another good installment in the series. I am enjoying this reread more than I thought I would.
