Another collection of stories from James Herriot, set against the backdrop of World War II and his enlisting in the RAF. Memories of home, of Darroby and his wife and of course the motley assortment of farmers, pet owners and animals he's treated punctate his training and learning to fly. Wholesome and wonderful.
I listened to the audiobook read by Nicholas Ralph who was just excellent.
