I love this duology:) there was something I could relate to with every character (well PP can eat shit), and I think that helped me think more deeply about what Hank was saying. They just felt so real and I could see why each of them thought and acted the way they did.
Also, I didnt expect to love Carl so much??? And the they/them pronouns made me very happy :)) 
Hank has a very hopeful perspective for humanity, and I think that's important to hold on to when it's so easy to feel like shitty things will never change.
