such a fast and cute read, I wish the romance could have budded faster. It was almost aggravating to see how much they were in love but were reluctant to admit it.

I loved traveling down memory lane! While I still see the appeal, I can’t give this an accurate rating because of the memories attached along with the fact that it’s not suppose to be marketed to me today... as a 25 year old. But also because it was published 10 years ago. A lot can change in 10 years, expectations wise from a reader standpoint but also from an industry standpoint.

Teenager me would still eat this up and love every second of Anna and St. Clairs journey. Would still want nothing more than to see Paris for myself (spoiler alert, I did and am dying to go back).

Sweet,funny,girlish..but nothing more!

The characters:
You got this funny, cute and awkward American girl "Anna" who moved ,obligatory, to Paris to finish her senior year in an American school up there. She has this weird but unique interest on movies critics which is basically the only special thing about her, rather than that she's just a normal girl.
the male protagonist here is Étienne an American/French boy raised in England and for that he has that accent..Anyway, this boy perfects in every possible way i.e a boy all girls dream about.
The school year starts, so does their story. A stare, smile, little conversation, friendship than love..which was there from the first glance.

My thoughts:

The whole romance thing was out of originality! yes it's lovely and beautiful and whatsoever but it was the same thing we saw in movies and read in silly romance novels..nothing new!

It was fine with Anna until she started asking these stupid questions and acting like a bizarre freaked out girl and crying every now and then..ugh she turned out to be a drama boring as hell queen! and i hate that.

The main irritating thing for me is that this book is POINTLESS. i mean i finished it, it felt good that they were together "finally"..but nothing after that! i wasn't surprised or blowed out.
if we pick out the romance there's nothing left!

However, it was enjoyable and easy to read..if that would be enough for the positive side

I may have mistaken picking this one up but it's over now! i recommend this for girls only!! since it's so girlish! And for those who like a lot of romance!

This book was everything. Seriously. It was very good, and very well written. Although she could’ve avoided that drama with St. Clair by just talking to him, and the drama with Bridgette by talking to Toph. Let’s just say there were major communication problems. I forgot to mention this, but this book was very similar to Again, but Better. I know it’s a completely different story, but the characters were so similar. Anna reminded me of Shane, St. Clair reminded me of Pilot, Mer reminded me of Babe, you get the point. The situations were also similar. Pilot was with Amy when he was falling in love with Shane, and St. Clair was with Ellie when he was falling in love with Anna. I could draw many parallels, but they’re both different stories. It really was a cute story though. This is the book I’ll read if I need a cute contemporary!

i liked this book, but i wished Stephanie had made Étienne break up with ellie a lot before (he could’ve done it secretly and it wouldn’t have ruined the storyline at all), it gave me the biggest ick every time she was mentioned and the whole “i cheated on her in my mind” thing really ruined the love declaration for me.

Besides that it was a really cute book with sweet characters and definitely made me want to go to boarding school in paris

Well, that was a fun read! I finished it in one sitting! I couldn't put it down!
The story was just so cute and fluffy and St Clair was a total bae (except for the fact that he was pissing me off for not breaking up with his gf for the longest time, but yeah)

I had a bit of a trouble with the predictability of the book, but otherwise, the plot was interesting, even though it was rather simplistic.
Another thing is...Anna.
I have a problem with oh-so-clumsy-but-still-adorable girl characters. It's SO overdone in books!
I also felt that the Isla character was forced. I know, I know, the author had to put it SOMEWHERE but I just don't fancy how all of that was executed.

Overall, it is a great read if you want to read something cute and light-hearted.
