I wasn't fully in love with the main characters. They seemed a little too juvenile for me.  The book had some tragic moments in them that were surprising, but honestly not my favorite Colleen Hoover book. I don't think I really felt the full connection the book was trying to project.

Colleen Hoover writing an almost non-toxic male lead? Someone call the BBC. Heavy on that 'almost' though. A good book. It had very cute, summery romance vibes, and if I had to guess I'd definitely say this would be a good beach read. Maybe I should've saved this one for the summer.

i liked the story, and the characters, and the plot twist, and the friendships/relationships. so many good quotes on this book. i love a spicy book also, and this one didn’t disappoint (though i love that it wasn’t the focus of the story!!!) another slay by Hoover!

It’s official. Colleen is one of my favourite authors. The way she writes is just beautiful, this book was no exception. The whole idea of a summer fling romance book makes me just want to read it. Beyah and Samson have so much character and layers that it just makes you want to read on to find out how their story ends. Definitely worth the read.

Another phenomenally emotional and engaging story from Hoover! Absolutely loved it and was totally captivated by the characters struggles. Love the dialogue and the subtle analysis of how people judge others and a great reminder that you never truly know someone.
