First half of book was better than the second half which is disappointing. There was not a lot of context and buildup of the characters and their relationship. The switch from dislike to love was like flipping a switch.

I think the premise of her not knowing it was a real familiar/witch job was cute but it happens so quickly. The book opens with her going to the interview and that’s when she finds out what it’s really for. I think it could’ve been better if she started the job and noticed weird things then realized it.

I struggle with books that are like “they’re super hot but I HATE them for this flimsy reason”.
