My first Carver Pike book and all I can say is Holy Fuck. Someone I care about very much suffers from DID and while this book is obviously fiction it captures what a person in those positions goes through so very well. Love isnt easy when you're dealing with mental health orders and it's especially hard when you're dealing with one as severe as DID but Andrew's devotion to Beth never wavers even as shit hits the fan. Maybe its a bit silly but I'm not too Manly to admit I'm getting emotional as I take time to just decompress from this book. There's probably more praise that I could sing about this book but my minds just a fog. I normally prefer to stick to books that are on KU just because books get expensive

Really enjoy this book. Loved the baseline of the story which centres around the relationship of Andrew and his wife Beth. The undercurrent of mental health is a very real aspect of the plot and most people with catch on to the foreshadowing fairly quickly if they pay attention.
The characters in the book I feel are three dimensional and very well developed. The plot also has a nice supernatural twist and combining with the mental health aspect, made for a well written storyline. Looking forward to reading more from Carver Pike.

Really enjoyed this!!
Seems like a typical weird mental health based situation. Man falls for a psych patient, they marry, marital bliss plus all her family. Little stressful but Beth is worth it!!!!!
We’ll over look the psychopathic brother, comes home bloody….
But not long into it, you start to question things…. Then more things… and soon enough it all gets weird and people die. But the twist!!! The twist!!! Bam!
Highly recommend!!!!
