This was cute but read younger than it was, which was annoying at times. It had very nice moments that I enjoyed greatly.

OK. So I liked this one more than I thought I would for about the first 40% of the book. At one point I almost DNF'd it, but kept going because it was so well written. For most of the book Astrid comes off as this mean girl, and her friends her little clique. Which makes sense, but it just made me want to pull my hair out because I can't stand books where it is a bully-romance. But eventually it gets better, fleshes out the characters more and actually makes it feel like it works. Next one is a sort of Taming of the Shrew sort of thing, so hopefully it can redeem Astrid for me!

This is the first book in ages that I completely flew through! It was funny, lighthearted and relatable.

I highly recommend to anyone in the mood for a easy fun read or a romcom experience filled with drama and revelations!

This book was a bit of a mess. It's not bad. In fact, at times it hit me in the feels and I found myself tearing up.
Probably because the author is making this the first of a series, she felt the need to give the backstories on the entire cast, but it didn't flow for me.
The story would had been complete if we didn't learn so much about the supporting cast. They can get future books .  Or maybe there were to many themes -- friendship, family, love -- that made it messy.

Oh, as a nitpick I hated the way the author wrote conversations. I became distracted with the phrasing .
