This is exactly what I expect when I pick up a Murakami: a strange, fantastic world. The Knopf publication really brings it together with the font and pictures and colors. And I was happy to see the sheep man again!

Honestly, my rating is so high just because of the aesthetic. The illustrations and general eerie, surreal atmosphere is great if you're into that, especially since it's a book that won't take too much of your time. I appreciate how it churned my imagination for a bit and not really the story itself, if that makes sense.
