Another cute Cinderella retelling. The personalities of the two MCs are quite adorable.

Really fun to revisit Hans sister and get her perspective. A great short story that adds to the overall storyline.

While this is another charming installment in the series, it was far too short for my liking. I was curious about Hanna, as she is frequently mentioned in [b:The Princess Fugitive: A Reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood|36562236|The Princess Fugitive A Reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood (The Four Kingdoms, #2)|Melanie Cellier|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1510203093l/36562236._SY75_.jpg|49255918], but wanted more of her story than just her romance. I did like the Cinderella retelling aspect and hope to see more of Hanna and Stefan in upcoming tales set in Northhelm.

Super Sweet

A young woman learning how to both care for people and stand up for herself, a man with good taste, and secret identities all combine to make a truly wonderful Cinderella retelling. The romance is clean and natural feeling as friendship blossoms into something more. There is adventure and mystery as well as deliciously described desserts. This a great quick read for anyone who loves a good Cinderella retelling or a happily ever after.

Worth the read.

I’ve greatly enjoyed Melanie Cellier’s fairytale stories. This one is a fun twist to Cinderella. I love novellas, but part of me wishes it was longer so I could know what happens after.

I've only read The Princess Companion, not The Princess Fugitive, so not sure how much of this one was set up on Princess Fugitive. So I won't be reviewing that aspect or commenting on the few spots I was slightly confused. There are definitely Princess Fugitive spoilers in this book though, so don't read this book if you care about those

Overall, this was a darling book!!! Sweet and a fun retelling of a familar story. I like the liberties she took while also staying true to the original. I called both twists, but didn't really care that I'd called them, they were still well executed

Overall a fun read and I'm excited to dive into more of Melanie Cellier's other stories ❤️
