Traci Hunter Abramson starts this compilation off with Bridge of Trust, a spell-binding tale of deception, fear, heartbreak and healing. Ethan is an FBI agent living in Arizona; his life is turned upside-down when he is assigned to protect Summer from her drug dealer husband.
Clair M. Poulson is next with Corrupted, where Lieutenant Jay Tanstall has to protect his two teenage children from corrupt police officers who are targeting him as a new Internal Affairs officer. This is a sit-on-the-end-of-your-seat type story that kept me up late.
Then we have Insidious by Gregg Luke. A heart-wrenching story of love and unknown disease. Andrew Miner's life is turned on its head when he suddenly gets sick during tryouts for an Olympic track team. His wife Taryn, a pharmacist, is doing her best to help the doctors treating her husband figure out what's wrong. This is a page-turning story that brought tears to my eyes.
Last is Something Beautiful for Something Evil by Stephanie Black. Kate and her husband Colby recently moved to a little town in Massachusetts when a violent murder takes place. Kate believes she is helping Colby with his work for the government when she starts spying on her new boss for him. Jamie is Kate's new boss and is confused by the mounting questions around her new employee. This story is scary and nail-biting and wonderful.
These are 4 of my favorite authors. They weave stories of intrigue, deception, mystery, and usually have happy endings. If you're interested in a quick, relaxing read, then this is a great choice.
