This comic was a little hard to get into. I think my lack of comic book knowledge kind of hindered my enjoyment of this comic. There were some cute Superboy moments and the idea of fighting a planet is cool but I struggled to figure out what exactly was going on.

We also meet two new characters Hard Line and Big Shot, who I thought were fine.

Superboy: Who the H are they?
Robin: I have no idea.
Robin: And your parents are a whole dimension away. You can curse here.

Superboy is still the best.

Y'know what, just see my previous reviews for Super Sons. I'll just be repeating myself otherwise.

Pretty solid issue. It took a moment to figure out/remember how they ended up on this different planet. I tend to like the issues with guest stars a little bit less because it kind of takes away from the great chemistry between Jon and Damian. There were still some great moments here like the two girls (Hard Line and Big Shot? Really? That was all we could come up with?) thinking that Damian was Jon's little brother because he's smaller.

Most interesting was Jon, once again, getting recognized as being more useful in a fight. Don't get me wrong, several people underestimate Damian. He's been a master at combat and has startling intellect. He's definitely on the list of most competent fighters in the DC universe (after my daughter Cass of course). But next to Jon, people just assume he can't do more than use his grappling hooks to get from place to place.

So, the best part of this was Damian and Jon coming together to use battle strategy. However, I'm not super interested in the plot line. I enjoyed the villain more than I thought I would.

4.5 stars.
