I definitely liked this book better than the first one. Lily’s conversation with her therapist near the end had me tearing up because I related a lot. It makes me happy to see characters grow, and I’m excited to read the next one. Really the only thing that knocked it down a star was Daisy and Ryke’s relationship. I can get down with a lot of stuff in romance, but a minor/adult is just not it. Even though they aren’t together (yet, I imagine it’s coming eventually), Ryke’s comments to Daisy were just inappropriate for someone in their 20s to say to a just-turned 16 year old.

This was even better than the first book. I loved seeing the progress lily makes even if it’s minor so far. And even though Lo wasn’t as present in this one, it felt as though he was still around a lot more than he was. I love the character development for all the characters (including Lily and Lo’s friends and family). It makes me excited to read their own stories as well. And the fact that they’re all supportive of lily and lo’s progress in their own way makes it all so much better. I’m excited get into the third book. I’m loving this series so far.
