Eh. There’s a part where a message from this book is how sometimes a book can change your perspective & be life altering can happen. I wouldn’t say it’s with this book.

This book was fine. The first half is about a heartbroken young woman. After her boyfriend tells her that he is going to marry a completely different woman she didn't know he dated she gets depressed, quits her job and she doesn't really know what to do with her life- until her uncle calls her and asks her if she could move in with him and take care of his bookshop whilst he is at the hospital getting treatments for his back - she does it and she slowly gets used to living there and taking care of the shop and she learns to love all the people she regularly interacts with. The first half also drops a ton of authors and books from Japan so you get a lot of recommendations. After that she gets a new job and she moves on but she still comes to visit. She also learns that her uncle's wife just up and left years ago for seemingly no reason - until she learns that she came back. And in the next part of the book she spends time with said aunt, they bond on a trip and she learns that she couldn't have kids and had to have her uterus taken out. She had several abortions beforehand and she blamed herself for not being able to have kids when her husband really wanted to have them. She ends up going away again... but she is back after the main character's uncle runs after her. And that's when this book ends. The book is okay, it's a pretty short and fast read. The characters are fine and I love the first part set in the book shop. The second part where they go on the trip and bond was a bit longer and more tedious to get through though.
