Found this on my iBooks the other day, not sure when I downloaded this one... and not sure why I even bothered reading it.... lol
The plot could be great, and has great potential... but only if there was more to the book. It was decent, but not for me.

I really enjoyed this short and dark story. It’s well written and I loved the characters! Khloe is a feisty and strong heroine and Caden is very sexy. They are both very damaged individuals but together they find healing. There are some very sweet and tender moments between Khloe and Caden. You can really tell they are meant to be together. This book would actually be so good as a full length novel though! Like I said, I really liked the characters and a full length novel would give so much more room for character development and it would give their relationship a much more natural progression rather than it just being insta-love. That being said, it was still very enjoyable in this short format. If you’re looking for a quick dark romance, this is it!

I think this is my first book by Aria Adams *goes to make sure* Yes, it's the first time I read something from this author.

As main characters go, Khloe and Caden are pretty good. They are people with a harsh past that left them scared in ways that some other could never understand, but they complement each other.

It's a very fast paced story. Not very long but the flow is good so you keep on reading until the end because you want to know what happens.

I do have to point out the predictability of the plot. I know is a short story, is fiction, is dark romance, all of the things but still, it felt a little too predictable at times, at least for me personally.

The romance is there, is good and is done as best as it can be done in such a short amount of time. I can't complain and won't do it, because I enjoyed the story.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes dark romances but I'll give a few warnings when it comes to the pace of the story and how predictable it was for me.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
