This book rocks!! I mean it's about Country rock stars, overnight stardom, Country royalty and SO much more!! I mean Jace was a freaking rock for Krystal! That girl went through some things that might be triggering to some!I found it via Hoopla but bought both the ebook and the audible! So Worth It!

I loved this delightful tale of a singer born into country royalty and a country boy just starting out. The book is named for the hero but it is the heroines story that will drag you in and make you listen. I loved Jace and his gentlemanly ways. I ached for Krystal for what she’d gone through and would go through. I loved that Jace was there for her and fought for her. This book will take you on an emotional ride worthy of a country song.

My Rating: 4.5 Stars

From the oilfield to the country stage. Jace Black got signed on with the famous King family and is about to do a duet with Krystal King. He has very high ambitions, and falling for Krystal is the furthest thing from his plan.

Krystal and her family are icons in the world of country music. Although a very good singer, her gift is writing songs. When circumstances give her the opportunity to sing it with sexy newcomer Jace, Krystal is nervous. That nervousness is quickly traded by bone deep attraction.

As Jace and Krystal try to get to know one another - while the tabloids are having their day - they both have painful pasts that might keep them from finding a long future together. Jace is an excellent book. I loved the occasional lyrics that were part of the story, and how they told much about the pain Krystal was actually in. Seems rather evident that these very lyrics are telling Jace's story as well.

Jace is the first book in the Kings of Country series. It is done very well, and the Jace and Krystal's story was very emotional. Honestly, I just thought I was going to be reading another romance and was not prepared for the impact this book had. I must say that I was very surprised, especially considering the book touched on some very serious and relevant issues Lastly, I loved all of the characters in the book, especially Emmy Lou and Travis, Krystal's twin sister and their brother. I look forward to future books in this series and can't wait to see whose story is next.

Many thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Includes molestation and death
Jace knows instantly that Krystal isn’t the person the media portrays her to be.
Krystal is part of Three Kings country band with her siblings. She is the genius song writer that had written a beautiful song her mother finds reality show winner Jace to come sing with her twin sister. But Emmie Lou says her throat hurts and Krystal steps in to sing it. They go on to sing it together at every show and fall more and more in love. But Krystal has dark demons that tell her she’s bad for Jace’s career, and not good enough for love.

I’ve said before I’m a sucker for cowboy romances, and this one has such a great hero & heroine, I really enjoyed reading it! I loved how small town boy meets country star girl & their overall dynamic as a couple. The steamy parts didn’t overtake the story or get too crazy, Jace is the perfect novel heartthrob (country gentleman!), and Krystal’s story is so powerful I think her personality & storyline alone kept me into the book! I can’t wait for the next in the series! I do want to mention possible trigger for child molestation.
