This book was so good! I will say it’s a little longer than it needs to be with some unnecessary fluff in the middle, but it was still worth it! I can honestly say Carter and Hanks friendship was the best part of the book for me. I’ve never loved a connection between 2 characters in a book as much as theirs. SO many important and amazing side characters in this book that gave it so much more depth with all the connections you felt between them all. Overall a super solid hockey romance that made me laugh, roll my eyes, and cry all in the same book!

overall, this was kind of a mixed bag for me -- but ultimately it was still a really enjoyable romance and the writing was good, so i gave it 4 stars. my only real problem with this was just that it felt like it went on forever and it was mostly just fluff. there were some really good parts of this book and then others were just blissful, honeymoon-like, romantic bliss. which is fine. i just prefer more drama and angst, i think. for a reformed playboy, carter beckett sure fell in love fast (and by fast, i mean the very first night he met olivia). carter was most definitely a man written by a woman and i love that for him. enjoy.

I loved this book so much! I've been waiting until I was really ready for another hockey romance because I wanted to truly enjoy this one to the fullest and I definitely did! Carter and Olivia's love story felt so real and so raw. The communication was flawless between them and I am swooning over how in love Carter became. He was so patient with Olivia too, making sure she was fully ready for what he wanted. There was the perfect amount of spice worked in with a wonderful plot. I highly recommend this book!!
"He wasn't Carter Beckett, arrogant hockey phenomenon and ladies' man. He was just...Carter. And I like him that way, when all the walls fall away, something I'm willing to bet not many get to experience. Maybe that made me feel special."

I loved Carter and Olivia so much! They were the perfect couple. Carter starts off as the biggest playboy but we slowly see him fall head over heels for Olivia and it was beautiful. That man would do anything and everything for her. He had such a fun personality and he definitely wore his heart on his sleeve. Olivia was the perfect match for him. She definitely made him work to get her, and he pulled out all the stops and then some. She was a little grumpy at the start but Carter broke through her walls (how could she resist!).
I also loved getting to know the team. Looking forward to their books and their happy endings in the future.
The only thing stopping this from getting 5 stars was the length of this book. It was incredibly long, and after they got together, we saw them get closer and closer and become cuter and cuter… over and over. I’ve got a sweet tooth but this was too much for me. Less is definitely more. I’m not too mad about it because their banter and relationship was so good.

Way too long. Also I’m over reading sports romance so maybe take this review with a grain of salt. More spice than story which is not my thing but then I had to finish it to know what happened.

I'm glad this is over. I tried to like these two but it was a drag. Not sure why so many high reviews but this was meh.
