I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 4 stars since I now know why this felt odd to read when I first got it. I was a new fan of Zenescope at the time, and still somewhat new to reading comics, and had no idea there would be other issues with different titles that are also part of the main story. I also didn't realize this would be published at different points either, so that also threw me for a loop. But this story picks up Grim Fairy Tales #45 leaves off with Belinda and Baba Yaga going after a gem they need for the upcoming battle. And it just so happens it takes place in the past with Sinbad and one version of his crew.

It's definitely a story that helps fill in points that come up later on in the mainline story that could cause confusion - I know it did for me. So I'm now glad I have all the books together so I can read the parts I'm missing and fill in the missing gaps.
