Most books I have to read for school are dreadful but this one was very informative about the world of the justice system. Reading about these kids who are put on Death Row because they had an awful childhood is honestly heartbreaking. I’ll be watching the movie tonight to see if it lives up to the expectations of the book.

The audio book was well done. The author did a good job narrating.  The book content is at times difficult to hear.  A lot of brokenness, pain and injury is detailed and people's personal experiences of such.  The author's honesty about his own experience and how he handled the work was also moving.  The work that he and his organization do brings hope that we can make things change.

A must read! Excellent storytelling by an author whose lived experience shines light on the horrific nature of incarceration in America. This story broke my heart but also inspired me to become a fellow “stone catcher” to intercept the stones thrown at the most innocent and vulnerable among us.
