Story sometimes takes a backseat to the great Riddell illustrations.

I love this series. They are great, light-hearted books with a good sense of humor. Beware the Brotherhood of Clowns. My only disappointment is that I have now read them all.

A light fantasy for dormant readers. Corby meets strange people while sailing on a former cruise ship. And where is that sad song coming from? Part of the Far-Flung Adventure series.

This was another fun easy to read book! The first half felt surprisingly slow and I wish there had been more hints and exciting moments earlier on but the second half definitely picked up in pace. Overall a good read if not a favourite.

i'm so glad my local library stocked this series when i was a kid! as delightful, whimsical and imaginative as i remember. stewart's writing paired with riddell's illustration is so wonderful, this was as humourous and enjoyable as it was when i was younger though it's definitely a much quicker read than i remember!

I was disappointed in this book. It only got three stars because the end picked up and was actually interesting. The first part of the book kept going back to a fictional guide where the main character makes notes/reads about "interesting places" that are along her boat trip and I found it tedious.
