I did not expect this!

This interracial mafia romance was passion-filled, fast-paced and intense. I expected more violence, action and thrill. It ended with a cliffhanger which I was okay with; it just lacked suspense.

This is not a story for the faint of heart. It’s the story of a mob boss finding the woman he didn’t know he wanted. There is a lot of violence and sex but there is still a small story. We meet the crew and family of Andrew McCarthy aka The Irishman. They are harsh and used to strict rules. Things are going to be changing in that camp.

Kyra is a strong black woman who runs her own little version of a mob. Except they have a secret. Her crew is women...normal everyday women. I loved meeting them. They all are saucy and it’s easy to see the nice relationship they have with Kyra. Then once they meet those Irish boys of Andrews?!

Overall I would have loved more story. I feel there is a lot of potential for weaving tragedy and happiness into this. I listened to this on audio. Jonathan Waters did a good job on the narration.
