What an ending! More twists and turns in this final book of the trilogy. The war scenes were a bit confusing (as would the war ground). Twists kept coming and the little mystery near the end of the book. Also didn't expect that epilogue.

Me estresa mucho la protagonista (y que todos la respetan sin razón), pero, al final, fue fácil de leer y entretenido.
No necesariamente la mejor conclusión para la trilogía, tho.

Book 1: Queen of Hearts – 3.8 / 5.0 ⭐
Book 2: Blood of Wonderland – 4.0 / 5.0 ⭐
Book 3: War of the Cards – 4.5 / 5.0 ⭐
The plot:
Only queens with hearts can bleed.
This is not the story of the Wonderland we know. Alice has not fallen down a rabbit hole. There is no all-knowing cat with a taunting smile. This is a Wonderland where beneath each smile lies a secret, each tart comes with a demand, and only prisoners tell the truth.
Dinah is the princess who will one day reign over Wonderland. She has not yet seen the dark depths of her kingdom; she longs only for her father’s approval and a future with the boy she loves. But when a betrayal breaks her heart and threatens her throne, she is launched into Wonderland’s dangerous political game. Dinah must stay one step ahead of her cunning enemies or she’ll lose not just the crown but her head.
Evil is brewing in Wonderland and maybe, most frighteningly, in Dinah herself.
This is not a story of happily ever after.
This is the story of the Queen of Hearts.
My review:
Generally, I enjoyed this trilogy. I read it at a fast pace and I guess the factors that made that possible were the larger font sizes and big spacing between lines in my hardcover copies of Queen of Hearts. I’m not much of an Alice in Wonderland enthusiast so I didn’t get so hyped up and lowered my expectations when I started the first book but I did end up liking it. I had some minor issues with the saga but the pros outweigh the cons.

Took me forever to finally get to the last book in this series but I loved it. I think this trilogy is my favorite of any Alice in Wonderland retelling out there.

I definitely liked this over the first two books. I really enjoyed the war scenes. At the first half of the book I really liked and admired the character of Dinah because of the braveness and determination that she showed. But, towards the end of the book I could not bring myself to like her anymore because of what she did.

This series is an okay one for me. Nothing too special but not a bad book. I just felt like it could be compressed into 2 books but that's just my opinion. I also do think that it will be interesting to watch this as a movie.

What a finale! I waited way too long to read this. It was such a fun quick read that I want to start the series over again!
