This was a fun book by normal standards, but for this book series, that is always top notch, it was a bit of a let down. It just seemed a little bland and had too many parts that dragged on longer than they should have. With that said it still had those quick moments of perfect humor that make me love these books.

One of my favorite kinds of prequels is when you find out that a character has just always been the same, and that is delivered here in addition to an incredible dynamic from Halt and Crowley
