I kind of hated Sawyer in this, he became this weak, whiny MMC... Hope he can redeem himself in the last book. Demi on the other hand has proven herself a powerful lead in this book, love her character growth!

Best of the series

I haven’t read the final book yet, but this one has been the best so far. The insta-love in the first two were just too much. In this one time passes and makes it more believable. And it focuses mostly on Demi being strong. I like that!

Alpha QUEEN

Demi learns how to be a great alpha and returns to her packs (yes, both of them) to be the leader she never knew she could be.

Yay for Shea beating the odds and helping Demi.
Yay baby Creek!
So much sadness for Sawyer.
Onward to book 4!

Damn, Demi becomes such a badass, wild woman living in the Dark Forest!

I was gutted when it started skipping 3 months ahead in time but then I was so happy with how she had grown into a new woman. Yes she attempted to give up sometimes but she pulled through.

Also bringing Sage back into the story worked! I’m not sure why the forest hated her so much because she does have alpha blood in her, her father is the alphas little brother so maybe that’s why she managed to survive so long before Demi found her.

Her and Demi together are amazing and I can’t wait to see them both kick some major ass in book 4!

Demi is now the acting alpha for both the city wolves and the paladin wolves and they are now one giant pack, which is great to bring together those two packs and hopefully defeat the vampires, fae and witches in the last book.

I hope they get Sawyer out of prison because he deserves to meet his son at least once, I’m gonna be so gutted if he gets killed. I am wondering if Walsh will also be sentenced to death? Hopefully Demi can get to them and tell her story about the vampire rape and showing it was a justified act.

I have loved this series, to show the difference in how the wolves live and how they choose their alpha etc. it’s basically showing working class and middle class wolves. I hope Sage gets her happy ending because she has been one of my faves ever since she threw that apple in book 1!

I've realized I really enjoy how Leia Stone wrote the main characters. Most male main characters in wolf books are more of the morally grey alphahole. Sawyer of course has some of the typical traits as a mated alpha, but he is pretty much a good guy all around. It is refreshing. I can't wait to see what Demi is going to do to get her man back. I'm sure it will be nothing short of extraordinary.
