nah because who allowed you to end it off that way ?? i would like a direct call to immediately speak with kerri maniscalo and her editor for this. like this is sjm cliffhanger level to me. it felt scarily similar to the hook acotar left us on. or maybe it was the second book. idk.

the plotline ?? WOW. stunning. irreplaceable. wonderful. this woman really combined witchcraft, religious lore and the seven deadly sins ?? absolutely riveting. i have never been more excited than to read about someone else's take on the sins and mushing them into her own story. it was so unexpected yet the best part of this entire book in my humble opinion.

i will admit that i had a longer review written up on the characters individually since i always comment on them in posts but it deleted everything and i'm just far too lazy to gather my thoughts on a book i read weeks ago again. sorry not sorry. i will make sure to spill to the extreme once i read the next book

Pensé que irían por otros tiros la verdad. Me encanta la relación de Emilia y Wrath pero faltan muchas piezas del rompecabezas y eso me pone de los nervios

I thought I wrote a review for this book, but turns out I didn’t. Okay, I don’t hate this book, first of all. It’s a solid fantasy, a good book, all the Princes are hot and Emilia is a wonderful main character despite all the tropes she falls into. I love her personality and love for cooking and Wrath’s relationship with her when it comes to handling her emotions. This book just wasn’t THAT interesting, the pacing was weird, the writing style was not formal enough and felt so concise and informal and... bleh. There was something that was slightly boring about this book, despite Nonna and all the side characters. The only mildly entertaining one is Wrath and that’s because we want to know his true motives. So... yeah. That’s pretty much all I have to say about this book because it wasn’t a bad book, but it wasn’t a great one either. I did rate it the same amount of stars as I did one of the books in the Shatter Me trilogy but this one is probably better. I don’t think they can be compared though... not sure but they’re not on the same level definitely.

This book was a meh from me and I'm so sad because the premise (that i mostly saw advertised on tiktok which should really tell me something but i listened bc im dumb) sounded very interesting. It was boring. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters. Reading about Emilia and Wrath was the only thing that kept me going but even that wasn't doing much for me. Butttt, an aspect of it I did enjoy was the writing. The similes, the inner monologues, the prose *chef's kiss*. This author really knows how to do it. But yeah. YA Fantasy had been failing me recently.
